Hello! My name is Ken Wilson and this is my revised, renewed, rehashed blog.
My plan is to share thoughts, ideas, observations, and also to offer free access to some of the materials that I have produced over the years.
I also plan to post short stories that you can download free of charge.
In 2021, I published my first novel, The Duke’s Portrait. Since then, I’ve also written a dozen short stories and I’ve just finished my second novel, which is called King and Country. I recently started my third, which is called The Siren of Barkston Gardens.
I will use this site to shamelessly advertise my new work and when it’s available. More about my fiction work another time.
First, here’s a short bio for anyone who doesn’t know me.
I’ve been writing English language teaching books all my adult life, with 30+ ELT titles to my name, including a dozen series of course books.
In the late twentieth century, before I concentrated on writing books, I was artistic director of the English Teaching Theatre, a company which toured the world performing stage-shows for learners of English. The ETT made more than 250 tours to 55 countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia and played to more than a million students and teachers of English.
I have also given talks and workshops in more than fifty countries, including most of Europe, and also Argentina, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Peru, Qatar, Japan, South Korea, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates.
I wrote my firsrt novel (see above) after completing a Masters in Creative Writing at Birkbeck College in 2017.
